Being born and brought up in the south-central largest island of Bangladesh, Bhola, I was exposed not only to its nature surrounded by the Bay of Bengal but also to its diverse fisherman, locally called “shikari” in Bengali. Since my childhood, my parents used to take me on trips to the farthest end of the most naturally appealing regions of bhola where the presence of fishermen people, who are deprived of the privilege of
electricity ignited my curiosity. This electricity deprived colonized island curiosities fueled by childish inquiries, befitting a little boy as I was once. In my childhood, I was also baffled to see how a person’s voice can be heard without the person being there which budded me for information communication technology. After completing high school, I started to explore my desired career platform by pursuing H.S.C in the science department. This fascination, coupled with my childhood experiences led me to pursue
the subject of Electrical & Electronic Engineering in my undergraduate.

During my Bachelor’s Degree, I attended major courses like Electrical Machines, Electronics, Communication & Power Systems. My bachelor thesis was based on Renewable energy, which proposes to achieve tidal power with higher efficiency. During this thesis work, I developed a model that could develop the efficiency of the tidal wave and perform calculations faster than the existing tidal power harness model. I observed that the model yielded incorrect results if we approximate the average tidal and feed-forward it to the next cycle to generate the power. By employing the concept of tip speed ratio modifying the shape of the blade, I designed a Turbine system for my undergraduate thesis. I enjoyed working on projects of diverse areas
simultaneously as it let me look at a particular problem from a different perspective. I participated in four workshops arranged by the department of my university and this helped me to get familiar with current research trends in the relevant field.

I’m working at a state-owned only telecommunication Company namely Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited. I’m serving there from 2016 to the present date as a Manager(technical) in the internet division. My tasks include configuring,
installing, commissioning network devices routers and switches. Very often I also troubleshoot network & provide support to our customers. I’m working in our internet exchange, cache nodes from content providers named Facebook, Google, Akamai access layer router and switches of our network, communicating with upstream bandwidth provider often managed DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) for content filtering. The points mentioned above involve my job responsibility which all are related to the network and communication sector. I also have knowledge about CCTV surveillance systems, commissioning, installing & managing digital & network video recorders as well as IP cameras. I’ve multi-vendor Network equipment expertise including worldrenowned brands Cisco, Huawei, ZTE & Fiberhome.

My primary research interests are in networking, cybersecurity and cloud computing. While I am working at BTCL, I started to explore communication-related or computer network-related fields by enrolling on my first professional certification titled CCNA in Routing and Switching (Cisco Certified Network Associate) at the Bangladesh University Of Engineering and Technology. After that, I Completed Cisco Unified
Communication (IP Telephony, Video Conferencing and IP Surveillance) under the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority. Recently I’ve completed RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) Certification. I’ve also completed MTCNA (Mikrotik Certified Network Associate). I’ve Completed several certification Program from People & Tech including Introduction to Certified Ethical Hacker Course. I’ve received multiple training on Digital Switching (Shanghai bell, ZTE exchange, Ericson), Digital Transmission devices (transmission MUX equipment such as Ciena, Nortel, Fiberhome).

I’m strongly motivated and enthusiastic about knowledge of information networks, especially the course content on Information Networks that attracted me the most. I would like to gain knowledge on how technology is shaping business and organization and also its impact on our lives.

During my undergraduate, I took part in various programming competitions among Bangladeshi Universities and won prizes. Due to my interest in community-based learning, I was an active member of the Robo-Mechatronics Association society of my university. Besides, I was actively engaged in the debating society of my University, participating in various intra-university debate competitions. Apart from that, I participated in the community volunteering service targeting to provide food to poor people during the lockdown period of Covid-19 in my locality. Additionally, I am
working as a technical program coordinator for the Video Conference of Prime Minister of the people’s republic of Bangladesh from the BTCL site, which provides higher responsibilities to maintain a network scrutinized.

My passion for science and engineering has always fueled my spirit of research, and collaboration and it will only grow stronger with time. The motivation for a Master’s originates from my hunger for knowing the unknowns and disseminating whatever I know in a beneficial way to the learned community. After my Master’s I would like to join as a research person in this field to enrich myself with the most emerging country in south-east Asia.
